Programs & Curriculum
Guided by the NEP 2020, we recognise knowledge as being built collaboratively through shared learning experiences.
Our Curriculum
Playgroup & Nursery
Our curriculum in Play Group and Nursery has a strong emphasis on play-based learning and recognises that language and social emotional development are vital at this stage.
The learning experiences that children engage in are an extension of children’s interests, strengths and emerging skills. Most are planned and some are spontaneous to meet children where they are.
The day always begins and closes with circle time which gives children the opportunity to share, express and come together.
Play is an important way in which children learn. Children meticulously “work” at special stations made just for them where they engage in constructive play and imaginative play.
Kindergarten
Our curriculum in Junior and Senior KG is geared to foster formal literacy and numeracy skills in children. Children begin reading and writing in English. They are immersed in language through stories, songs, drama and more.
We try to foster a holistic approach to learning the English language while continuing to value and respect children’s home languages. We celebrate special days drawing inspiration from concepts in early childhood as well as cultural festivals/events that find a place in our children’s lives. Embracing language and multiculturalism cultivates respect, awareness, empathy and creativity. All this provides for a well rounded educational experience.
We place a strong emphasis on promoting socio-emotional wellbeing of students. The speech and drama classes focus on self expression and self awareness. Gradually these sessions may also lead to self-regulation, enhancing their abilities to resolve conflicts and become confident and empathetic adults.
